Star Wars "Twilight" actor Robert Pattinson could be the next Batman. According to Variety, Pattinson will play in the new movie "The Batman", released in June 2021. The film was directed by Matt Reeves.
However, Deadline reports that the job is not yet complete. The star of the movie "X-Men" by actor Nicholas Hoult is also one of the actors who is excellent for this role. According to Deadline, Warner Bros likes both actors, but Pattinson is the first choice.
Hollywood Reporter sources also say Armie Hammer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are also considering Batman's role.
Pattinson or Hoult will take over this role from Ben Affleck. At age 29, Hoult could be the youngest actor ever to play Batman. Actress Christian Bale embodied the Batman character when he was 31, before him Batman acted George Clooney, Val Kilmer, and Michael Keaton.
Warner Bros. gave Reeves enough time to develop the screenplay, hoping that his screenplay would be correct and good after disappointment with the movies "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League," Variety says.
The sources told Variety that filming could begin at the end of 2019 or early 2020.
The role was originally offered to Ben Affleck, but he abandoned it.
