Nicki Minaj performs at a musical festival in Saudi Arabia

Nicki Minaj will perform in Saudi Arabia after the ultra-conservative government in this kingdom decided to discard restrictions after a long time on the maintenance of music and similar events, the Guardian writes.
This repertoire is known for its unusual, provocative style and hits such as "Anaconda", in which she sings about her "thick ass". Her lyrics are often overwhelmed by curses, and music videos often include twerking.
It should be noted that certain Christian groups criticized the decision to receive the Grammy Award in 2012 because her performance included dancers clad in clerical clothes, as well as elements of exorcism.
Organizers from Saudi Arabia have announced that she will be the main performer at the Jeddah World Fest on July 18th. The concert, which is in accordance with Saudi laws and which will be held without alcohol and drugs, is open to people aged 16 and over and will be held at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium.
Reactions to social networks ranged from shock and joy to criticism and great disappointment.
