Lady Gaga Won The Oscar - And Our Hearts

Lady Gaga Won The Oscar - And Our Hearts

Nominated for eight Oscars,  A Star Is Born won only one - for best original song.

The four songwriters – Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Andrew Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt – walked onstage to accept the award together, and after that Lady Gaga had her 5 minutes to shine. And she did, with her emotional speech.

While accepting the award for Shallow, a tearful Lady Gaga, who was also nominated for best actress that evening, said: “I’ve worked hard for a long time and it’s not about winning. What it’s about is not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it.”

The song was performed onstage by Gaga and Bradley Cooper earlier in the night, and received a standing ovation.

Staring into one another's eyes, Gaga and Bradley gave a hot and passionate performance, nearly kissing as they reached the climax of the track.

This appearance at the Oscars was the first time Gaga had been seen since ending her engagement to her fiance Christian Carino.
