The first trailer for an upcoming love drama called "Queen & Slim" thrilled moviegoers, especially with Daniel Kaluuy and Jodie Turner-Smith fleeing police as Bonnie and Clyde throughout the movie.
"Queen & Slim" is a love story set in the modern age of police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement. The film follows the dark-haired Queen and Slim, who, after learning about Tinder, become fugitives chased by a troop of police officers.
The two, after a not so great first meeting, are stopped by police for a minor traffic offense. However, the situation will escalate when a man kills a police officer in self-defense. Scared for their lives, they flee, but the entire incident is captured with a surveillance camera and the video goes viral across the country.
In addition to Kaluuye and Turner-Smith, the cast also stars Chloe Sevigny, Indya Moore, Bokeem Woodbine, Sturgill Simpson and many others.
The film is directed by Melina Matsoukas, with James Frey and Lena Waithe in the lead.
"Queen & Slim" hits theaters on November 27th.
